Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Capstone Palmdale Concrete and Masonry website and any work you ask us to quote or do. When you browse the site, call us, send the contact form or accept an estimate, you're agreeing to them, so please read them first.

If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site, and call us at (661) 382-3390 before you book any work. A written contract signed for a specific job wins over these terms wherever the two disagree.

What we do

We're a masonry contractor in Palmdale, CA, doing concrete, block, brick and stone work for homeowners in Palmdale and the cities around it. You'll find our services on the home page and more about our crew on the About page.

The service descriptions on this site explain the work in general terms. What we'll actually do on your property is what's written in your estimate or contract, because every job depends on the site, the soil, the existing structure and what you choose.

Estimates and pricing

We give free estimates at your property, with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is our best figure based on what we can see and measure that day, and it lists the work, the materials and what's included.

Some conditions only show up once the job is open, such as damaged footings, buried debris or rot behind a veneer. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, and agree on any change in scope or price with you before we go on.

Prices on an estimate hold for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have moved, so we may need to update the figure before scheduling.

Scheduling and cancellation

We'll set a start date with you once the estimate is accepted. Dates can shift because of weather, high wind, extreme heat, material delivery, inspections or a job ahead of yours running long, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, let us know as early as you can by phone or through the Contact page. If materials have already been ordered, cut or custom made for your job, or work has started, you'll be responsible for those costs and for the work done up to that point, as set out in your estimate or contract.

Payment

The payment schedule, any deposit and the accepted payment methods for your job are written in your estimate or contract. Any deposit we ask for will follow California's rules for home improvement contracts.

Final payment is due when the work is complete as described in your contract. If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled, and we keep the rights California law gives contractors to collect what's owed, including lien rights.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something we built isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our workmanship.

The guarantee doesn't cover damage from ground movement, settling, drainage or irrigation problems, freeze and thaw, vehicles heavier than the work was built for, misuse, lack of upkeep, or changes someone else makes later. Concrete and mortar can show small hairline cracks and color variation as they cure, and that's normal, not a defect.

Materials such as pavers, block, stone and sealers carry their makers' own warranties, which we'll pass along to you. Beyond what's written here and in your contract, we don't make other warranties, express or implied, to the extent California law allows.

Limits on our liability

We're fully licensed and insured, and we're responsible for the work we do. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We're not liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property or rental income, or for conditions that existed before we started and that we didn't cause. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under California law that can't be waived.

Using this website

The information on this site is general and may not fit your property. It isn't engineering, legal or permit advice, so please don't rely on it in place of an estimate from us or a check with your city or county.

We try to keep the site accurate, but we don't promise it's free of errors or always available. The photos, text and design on the site belong to Capstone Palmdale Concrete and Masonry, and you can't copy them for commercial use without our written permission.

If we disagree

If you're unhappy with any part of our work or billing, call us first so we can talk it through and try to fix it directly. Most problems get settled that way, usually with a visit to look at the work together.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us can take the matter to the courts that serve Los Angeles County, California. You can also contact the California Contractors State License Board about a licensed contractor.

California law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California. If a court finds any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Changes don't affect a job already under a signed contract unless we both agree in writing.

Questions about these terms

If anything here is unclear, call us at (661) 382-3390, any day from 6 AM to 11 PM, or send a message through our Contact page. We reply within 1 business day.
